FCNM students are recognized for their contributions to research in Cuatriles Mayores
Our students are making their mark in research! Walter Guaño Vinueza, Alexsander Játiva Macías, and Jesús Urrucsaca Guaman received special distinctions during the Cuartiles Mayores ceremony. This prestigious event recognizes the most outstanding achievements in scientific research within the ESPOL community, and this year's edition honored work carried out during 2024.
Faculty members at the FCNM earn iPEER international certification
Internationally Recognized Faculty! On October 29, five professors from ESPOL’s Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (FCNM) received the International Professional Engineering Educator Registry (iPEER) certification, a distinction that recognizes their excellence and professional trajectory as engineering educators on a global scale.
Leaf-based biopesticide wins the FCNM 5-Minute Pitch
Two outstanding Chemical Engineering students, Keyler Peñafiel and Jhon Jairo Valladolid, were named the winners of this edition of the 5 Minutes Pitch competition. Their innovative proposal—a biopesticide and biorepellent made from American Cedar leaves—captivated the judges and secured first place among six finalist teams.
FCNM welcomes its new students
A new adventure at ESPOL begins! On Friday, September 26, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (FCNM) welcomed 95 incoming students, who officially began their studies on Monday, September 29, in the programs of Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, Logistics and Transportation, and Statistics.
